Daily Walk July 4, 2017

Welcome to my Daily Walk!  I had planned on posting this daily, and although I do walk every day, and take pictures everyday, life sometimes gets in the way of me getting them here on my blog!

Daily Walk

Dog Park TrailHere’s Burger on the trail at the dog park.  He loves running ahead and then running back to me.

He definitely gets his excercise in!  He does twice the walk in I do!

It’s such a gorgeous day, I’m loving this sunshine!

Sheep Laurel

This pretty flower is growing like crazy on the back trails.   It’s called the Sheep Laurel.

Apparently it contains a glycoside which is toxic to animals, which is why farmers don’t like to see it in their pastures where their animals graze.

I have no idea what this little flower is but I suspect it’s some sort of wild rose.  It’s growing like crazy in my garden and I don’t have the heart to cut it!  At least until the blooms are finished.

So that’s it!  My Daily Walk!  What are you doing today?

  1. I wish I could take a day off and go for a walk with you and your lovely dog! 😀
Today is going to be a hectic day where I have to run from one bank to another, but I’ll survive lol
Hope you have a wonderful day!

  2. I love that you can appreciate the beauty of the things you see every day! I had a friend once (when I lived in the NC mountains) who complained about our trip through the Great Smokey Mountains because she said we saw mountains every day and didn’t need to stop and admire them. She didn’t stay a friend long after that, for other reasons along with that negativity. I admired those mountains every day when I drove to work. There is beauty everywhere!

    1. How could someone be bored of mountains?! I agree, beauty is everywhere. I walk the same park almost every day, and I don’t get bored of it. Some people must be very unhappy, like your friend. Thanks for stopping by 🙂 It’s great to meet you!

  3. It’s not multiflora rose is it cause that’s definitely invasive. I’m with Noriko. I wish I could go on daily walks with you and Burger as well!

      1. Yeah unfortunately I’m well versed in multiflora rose. We pulled it at lot when I worked at the field station during my college years.
